NLRB Extends Captive-Audience Ban For Mailed Ballots

Law360, New York (February 1, 2016, 5:53 PM EST) -- A split NLRB panel ruled Friday that unions and employers can’t hold mass representation campaign meetings 24 hours before ballots are to be mailed to workers in mail-ballot elections, ending for good a 50-year-old standard in which the meetings were barred 24 hours after ballots were sent.
