Shell Call Center Workers File FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (November 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A unit of energy giant Royal Dutch Shell PLC is the latest company to be hit with a proposed collective action by its army of customer call center operators who were allegedly forced to work off the clock without pay.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, alleges Shell Oil Products U.S. denied the workers overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
