Miami Builds International Arbitration Chops With New Court

By Carolina Bolado (February 16, 2016, 8:21 PM EST) -- Miami's international arbitration court has seen just a handful of cases in the two years since its creation, but the division has already bolstered the city's reputation as an international arbitration center and led to an appellate ruling that is helping shape arbitration case law in the state.

The international arbitration court, a division of the complex business litigation section of Miami's Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, gives practitioners peace of mind that if their international arbitration dispute winds up in state court, a specially trained judge will handle it expeditiously, lawyers say.
