FTC Plans December Hearing On Changes In IP

Law360 (November 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the market for intellectual property evolves, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is looking to intellectual property professionals to offer feedback on how recent court rulings and legislative initiatives are impacting innovation, competition and consumer welfare.

The commission has scheduled a free public hearing on Dec. 5 at 601 New Jersey Ave. N.W. in Washington. The hearing, which is expected to be the first in a series, will examine changes in IP law, patent-related business models and new insight about the operation of the IP marketplace...
