Group Looks To Overturn Stem Cell Patents

Law360 (July 19, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A consumer group and attorneys from a patent foundation are looking to revoke stem cell patents they claim waste taxpayer money and undermine scientific research.

In documents filed Tuesday, the Public Patent Foundation, the Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights and stem cell scientist Jeanne Loring requested that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reexamine three patents held by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
