Wyeth, Pfizer Face More Claims In Premarin Suit

Law360, New York (November 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Plantiffs in the multidistrict litigation alleging that Premarin and similar estrogen hormone-replacement drugs led to their breast cancer filed a motion Thursday to add further claims against Wyeth Inc. and Pfizer Inc. to the complaint based on new scientific data previously unavailable.

The plaintiffs filed a motion to amend the master complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas because of information that was uncovered during discovery and “developments in the scientific literature.”
