Pay Phone Company Calls For Damages

Law360 (July 19, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New York City pay phone operator has accused its competitors, the city and the commission in charge of telecommunications of conspiring to control the public pay phone market through strict regulation and preferential treatment.

The New Phone Co. Inc., filed a lawsuit Monday against rivals Teleplex Coin Communications Inc., Telebeam Communications Corp., Coastal Communications Service Inc., and New York City Telecommunications Inc., which all operate pay phones in New York.
