SRU's 31 Sensor Patents Invalid, Sensor Maker Claims

Law360 (November 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Resonant Sensors Inc. and Resonant Optics Inc. have targeted SRU Biosystems Inc. in a lawsuit accusing the biotechnology firm of infringing two patents related to mode resonant sensors and attacking the validity of 31 of SRU's patents.

Arlington, Texas-based Resonant Sensors and its affiliate lodged the suit Thurs. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The plaintiffs, which make sensors for various applications for biological, biochemical and chemical sensing, say they have exclusive licenses of the two patents owned by the University...
