Judge: No Infringement In Assays Patent Case

Law360, New York (July 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Diazyme Laboratories, the life sciences division of California-based General Atomics, has won a summary judgment of noninfringement in its legal battle with a European company over a patent for enzymatic homocysteine tests.

The two sides still have a fight ahead, though, because Judge Susan Illston in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California did not decide whether the contested patents are valid.
