Public Storage, Customers Seal $5M Settlement In Fee Suit

Law360, Miami (February 29, 2016, 6:35 PM EST) -- A Florida federal judge approved a $5 million settlement Monday in a class action claiming Public Storage overcharged customers for self-storage insurance, and made an upward adjustment in a fee award to class counsel for “excellent” work achieving a recovery she deemed relatively small but hardly certain.
