Complaint Falls Short In Bath & Kitchen Fixture Case

Law360, New York (July 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court has dismissed an antitrust complaint against American Standard Companies Inc. and its rivals after the defendants failed to prove the existence of an agreement to fix prices for kitchen and bathroom fixtures.

The ruling approved the defendants’ motions to dismiss the consolidated and amended complaint, but the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania gave hope to the plaintiffs with a 30-day window to file a revised grievance.
