Orion Strikes At Sun Over Comtan ANDA

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Finnish pharmaceutical company Orion Corp. has sued a unit of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. for seeking regulatory approval of a generic version of Orion's patented Parkinson’s treatment Comtan.

The complaint, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claims India-based Sun Pharma Global Inc. infringed Orion’s patent when it filed an abbreviated new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a generic form of the Comtan 200 mg tablets.
