Qimonda Slaps LSI Corp. With Circuit Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Dynamic random access memory specialist Qimonda AG is going after LSI Corp., claiming the chip maker infringes numerous patents related to the manufacture of integrated circuits.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, claims LSI Corp.'s products are covered by multiple patents Germany-based Qimonda holds related to the fabrication and structure of semiconductors.

LSI makes at least 16 different integrated circuits and products incorporating those circuits in violation of seven Qimonda patents, according to the complaint.
