Retirees, UAW Sue Mack Trucks To Protect Benefits

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Storied truck maker Mack Trucks Inc. has been hit with a proposed class action suit by a group of former employees and a union for allegedly breaching a collective bargaining agreement by planning to cut off retiree benefits.

The suit was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan by six retired Mack Trucks employees; the wife of a deceased retiree; and the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace & Agricultural Implement Workers of America.
