Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The federal judge handling multidistrict litigation in farmers' claims that Bayer CropScience AG mishandled genetically modified rice that contaminated the U.S. supply has appointed a special master to assist with settlement talks even as the parties prepare to go to trial in a year.
