Nvidia Loses Bid To Toss Rambus Patent Lawsuit

Law360, New York (November 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss technology designer and licenser Rambus Inc.'s patent infringement case against Nvidia Corp., finding the pleadings sufficient and vacating a hearing on the matter.

Rambus filed suit in July in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California alleging that Nvidia, which manufactures graphics processor technologies, infringed on 17 of Rambus' patents relating to memory and controller devices.
