Judge OKs Collective Action By Tyson Workers

Law360, New York (November 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge in Iowa has given a green light to a collective action brought by employees at a Tyson Foods Inc. meat processing facility who claimed they were not paid for all the time they spent working, a little more than a month after Tyson lost its bid to have the case folded into multidistrict proceedings.

Judge John Jarvey of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa signed off on an order Wednesday granting the plaintiffs' March 10 motion for collective action...
