FTC And Congress Focus On Real Estate

Law360 (July 24, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Amid the Federal Trade Commission’s probe of anti-competitive actions in the real estate industry, the House Financial Services Housing Subcommittee will hold a hearing Tuesday on business models in the industry.

The hearing, entitled “The Changing Real Estate Market,” will focus on new brokerage business models, like discount brokers; the implications of state minimum-service requirements; and competition in the real estate market, according to the National Association of Realtors.
