Pa. Families Win $4.24M Verdict In Cabot Fracking Trial

Law360, Philadelphia (March 10, 2016, 4:16 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal jury on Thursday awarded $4.24 million to two families who said that Cabot Oil & Gas Corp.’s natural gas drilling contaminated their well water, after the conclusion of a trial that lasted over two weeks.

The verdict comes six and a half years after 44 landowners initially claimed they had suffered property damage and injuries as a result of Cabot’s fracking operations in Dimock Township in Susquehanna County.
