Telecom Advances Create New Antitrust Issues: DOJ

Law360 (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The growing array of technology and services that telecommunications companies are offering customers has fostered competition in the industry, while also requiring the U.S. Department of Justice to keep a close track of emerging trends in order to enforce antitrust rules, the agency has determined.

The Justice Department released a report on Monday detailing the findings and conclusions it reached following a telecommunications symposium it hosted last year that looked at how new technologies and services are affecting customers.
