9th Circ. Tosses School's Suit Over GE Plant

Law360 (November 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An appeals court has affirmed the dismissal of a lawsuit against a General Electric Co. subsidiary aiming to block the construction of a new power plant 1,100 feet from a school in California.

Judge Ronald M. Gould of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Tuesday that the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where the case was first filed, did not have jurisdiction over the matter.
