Chrysler Faces Proposed Class Action Over Engines

Law360, New York (November 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Chrysler LLC is facing a purported class action filed by a disgruntled customer who alleges the company knowingly sold Dodge and Chrysler vehicles with defective engines.

The suit, accusing Chrysler of unfair and deceptive business practices, was lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Tuesday. At issue are all Chrysler and Dodge vehicles model years 1998 through 2004 that are equipped with 2.7 liter V6 six cylinder multivalve engines.
