Energy Line Proposal Draws Green Group's Ire

Law360, New York (November 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The latest proposal for the 1,000-megawatt Sunrise Powerlink Transmission Project to bring renewable energy to San Diego has sparked protest from the California Public Utilities Commission, which argues the line shouldn't also be used to transport energy from fossil fuels.

CPUC's President Michael R. Peevey on Nov. 17 released an alternative proposal for the energy line, which allows for a mix of fossil fuels and renewable energy.
