CVS, Longs Face Class Action Over Pharmacist Wages

Law360, New York (November 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A pharmacy manager has launched a purported class action against CVS Caremark Corp. and Longs Drug Stores Corp. over alleged wage reporting violations with regard to nonexempt and hourly employees.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, seeks to determine whether Longs and CVS — which bought Longs for $2.9 billion in October — complied with wage reporting requirements under California labor rules.
