FTC Drags Rambus DRAM Battle To Supreme Court

Law360 (November 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has reignited its battle against computer chip manufacturer Rambus Inc., filing an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday over allegations that the company violated antitrust law by concealing information about its patents from a standard-setting organization for the semiconductor industry.

The FTC filed the petition for certiorari with the Supreme Court following a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in August that denied its request for an en banc hearing.
