Complaints On Wyeth Outsourcing Led To Firing: Suit

Law360 (November 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former employee of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. has sued the drug giant, alleging she was fired for complaining about the company's policy of outsourcing some jobs to India.

Laura Bedford, who worked as a project coordinator at Wyeth, filed the suit Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Bedford alleges that her termination constituted discrimination against her as a white American and as a woman, claiming that male employees were not fired for similar behavior. The suit also accuses Wyeth of retaliation....
