Judge OKs SGI Disclosure As Patent Spat Is Resolved

Law360 (July 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge in Manhattan approved Silicon Graphics Inc.’s disclosure statement Thursday, after a last-minute amendment vitiated a claim that the disclosure didn’t contain enough information about LG Electronics' patent infringement claims against the company.

Lifland ruled that SGI's disclosure statement contained sufficient information to satisfy the requirements of Section 1125 of the Bankruptcy Code, and allowed the company to solicit creditor support for its reorganization plan.
