Trial Begins In Latest Wyeth Diet Drug Case

Law360, New York (July 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After years of litigation over diet drugs, Wyeth is now facing a new trial over Pondimin, part of the Fen-phen combination that cost the pharmaceutical company billions.

Arguments in the case began on Thursday in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas over whether Wyeth’s diet drug Pondimin caused a serious case of PPH for plaintiff Jodi Wier.
