Parks Group Seeks To Block Valley Forge Development

Law360, New York (December 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A nonprofit conservation group has filed suit against a Pennsylvania township for making what it claims are illegal zoning changes to allow a cultural center to be built on private land inside the Valley Forge National Historic Park.

In a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the National Parks Conservation Association claims the zoning was illegal “spot zoning” under state law and interferes with the National Park Service's authority over the region.
