Ex-VP Of Staffing Co. Hit With $25M Verdict In Biz Dispute

Law360, New York (April 21, 2016, 8:44 PM EDT) -- An Arizona federal jury punished the former vice president of a health care staffing company with a $25.4 million verdict on Wednesday after a bitter business fight — and a fistfight — with its former president.

Former Zoel Holding Co. Inc. President Marc Wichansky was suing former Zoel Vice President David Zowine, saying he orchestrated an intimidation campaign and duped him out of his ownership share of the company so Zowine could buy it. He contended Zowine was embroiled in a scheme involving inaccurate invoices sent to health care payors for staffing services while working at Zoel.
