Heat Wrap Patent Claim Against P&G Snuffed

Law360 (December 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An inventor of self-heating athletic pads can't pursue claims of patent infringement against Procter & Gamble Co. for the alleged misappropriation of his idea in creating the company’s ThermaCare heat wrap products, a federal judge has ruled.

Judge John D. Holschuh granted summary judgment Monday to P&G and one of its former employees on the patent infringement claims in a suit filed by inventor Keith Whittle in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
