Most Judgment Bids Nixed In Laptop-Lock Patent Feud

Law360 (December 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent dispute over lock technology for laptops between rivals PC Guardian Anti-Theft Products Inc. and ACCO Brands Inc. is no closer to resolution, with a federal judge mostly rejecting bids for summary judgment from both sides.

In an order Thursday, Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California denied a slew of summary judgment motions by defendant PC Guardian on various issues.
