Entergy Requests Another Extension

Law360, New York (August 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Entergy New Orleans Inc. said Thursday that it could not file a reorganization plan without knowing the status of its federal aid application, and that it therefore needed a third extension to its exclusivity period.

In court documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Orleans, Entergy also said it wanted to know how many people would return to New Orleans, what losses would be covered by insurance and whether rate relief would be approved by the city council before it emerged from bankruptcy....
