Ala. Mayor, Others Charged With Bond Fraud, Bribery

Law360 (December 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has filed an indictment against the mayor of Birmingham, Ala., and two of his close friends, slapping the trio with 101 counts of fraud, bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and other charges stemming from millions of dollars in municipal bond deals.
