Texas High Court Orders GE Asbestos Suit Dismissed

Law360, New York (December 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A trial court in Texas abused its discretion when it rejected motions from companies including General Electric Co. and Ingersoll-Rand Co. that sought to dismiss an asbestos case brought by a plaintiff who claimed that he developed mesothelioma handling pipe insulation at his job in Maine, according to the Supreme Court of Texas.
