Humana Says Doctor Gunning For Too Much Info In FCA Row

Law360, New York (May 13, 2016, 2:58 PM EDT) -- Humana Inc. and the operator of nine Florida medical facilities blasted a whistleblower's discovery requests in False Claims Act litigation over an alleged Medicare overbilling scheme, saying Thursday she wants some documents that she is not entitled to or do not exist.

In three opposition briefs in Florida federal court, Plaza Medical Centers Corp. and Humana challenged former Plaza physician Olivia Graves' requests for things like records related to the insurer's investigations, reviews and audits of the health care company and its owner, Dr. Michael Cavanaugh, arguing she is asking for too much.
