Court OKs 1st-Day Motions In EZ Lube Ch. 11

Law360 (December 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has granted nine first-day motions requested by EZ Lube LLC after slow sales, burdensome litigation and negative publicity forced the automobile oil-change chain to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Tuesday.

Among the numerous motions granted Wednesday, Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware authorized EZ Lube’s bankruptcy case to be administered jointly with that of its subsidiary, Xpress Lube-Tech Inc.
