Kyocera, GE Sued Over Digital Imaging Patents

Law360, New York (December 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Apple Computer Inc. spinoff FlashPoint Technology Inc. has targeted Kyocera Sanyo Telecom Inc. and General Electric Co. in a pair of suits that accuse the electronics companies of infringing a host of patents related to digital camera technology.

FlashPoint filed the suits Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claiming Kyocera Sanyo and General Imaging Co. imported, sold or offered to sell electronic products that infringe six and seven of FlashPoint's patents, respectively.
