Ex-Peregrine CEO Sentenced To Prison

Law360, New York (December 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has sentenced the former chief executive of Peregrine Systems Inc. to eight years and a month behind bars for his alleged role in the accounting scandal that plunged the Silicon Valley software company into bankruptcy.

At a hearing Thursday, Judge Thomas J. Whelan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California ordered Stephen P. Gardner to start serving his sentence on Feb. 20.
