Travelers Asks 9th Circ. To Rehear NFL Workers' Comp Row

Law360, Los Angeles (June 3, 2016, 12:31 PM EDT) -- Travelers Indemnity Co. urged the Ninth Circuit Thursday to rehear its push to be reimbursed part of a personal injury claim paid out to former NFL player Jim Rourke, saying the panel’s decision last month to send the case to the state workers comp board would create an unintended “windfall” for illegally uninsured employers.
