FERC And The Financial Crisis

Law360 (December 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- In its issuances to date, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC” or “Commission”) has referred to the financial crisis infrequently. Two Commission orders, however, do discuss the crisis in some detail, with one such discussion appearing in a dissent. Also, FERC has scheduled a technical conference for Jan. 13, 2009 to cover “long-term capital financing” and “short-term credit issues.”
