DRAM Makers' Judgment Bids In Rambus Suit Nixed

Law360, New York (December 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a one-two punch, a federal judge has shot down two summary judgment bids by the defendants in Rambus Inc.'s patent infringement case against manufacturers of dynamic random access memory.

The pair of motions for summary judgment of invalidity by Hynix Semiconductor Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Micron Technology Inc. and Nanya Technology Corp. were rejected by Judge Ronald M. Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ahead of an approaching trial in the case in January.
