EZ Lube Seeks Emergency $2M For Insurance Payouts

Law360, New York (December 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- EZ Lube LLC filed an emergency motion Monday asking for approval of two post-petition insurance premium financing agreements totaling approximately $1.8 million the bankrupt auto repair chain says it needs to maintain its operations.

According to the filing, made in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, one agreement with First Insurance Funding Corp. will be used to pay down EZ Lube's workers' compensation insurance and a second agreement with the same company will be used to pay down EZ Lube's other policies.
