NJ Panel Grills Hospitals Over Discovery In Horizon Row

Law360, New York (June 8, 2016, 8:45 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey appeals court questioned Wednesday whether a judge's order that insurer Horizon Healthcare Services Inc. turn over financial information about its controversial Omnia Alliance program to hospitals in the plan's lower tier would lead to the release of trade secrets.

The three-judge Appellate Division panel in Trenton heard oral arguments in Horizon's appeal of judge's orders to turn over discovery materials to six Tier 2 hospitals that are suing over the Omnia plan, alleging breach of contract and citing concern the program could cost them business.

The same panel had ruled Tuesday in a separate challenge by different hospitals...
