Eli Lilly Continues Crusade Against Cymbalta Generics

Law360, New York (December 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Eli Lilly and Co. is pushing ahead in its effort to stop generic-drug companies from marketing copycat versions of its blockbuster antidepressant Cymbalta, filing six new lawsuits against companies including Impax Laboratories Inc. and Actavis Elizabeth LLC.

The suits were filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. The other companies sued were Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., Cobalt Laboratories Inc., Sandoz Inc. and Wockhardt USA Inc.
