Damages Reduced In Cardinal's $12.2M Suit V. Tyco

Law360 (December 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California appeals court has affirmed a jury verdict holding Tyco Electronics Corp. liable for defective electrical components it supplied Cardinal Health 301 Inc., but struck about $5.5 million in damages from the $12.2 million verdict.

The California Court of Appeal for the Fourth Appellate District on Monday also reversed a verdict against Thomas & Betts Corp., which made the spring probe connectors at issue in the litigation before selling the company's electrical connector division to Tyco in 2000.
