Duo Charged With Backdating Wants Case Dismissed

Law360, New York (August 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The first two former executives to face criminal charges in the stock option backdating scandal appeared in court for the first time Wednesday, but their attorneys are hoping such court visits will soon be unnecessary.

Neither Gregory Reyes nor Stephanie Jensen, both former executives at Brocade Communications Systems Inc., entered a plea on the fraud charges each faces.

The two will be back in court next week when their lawyers ask the court to dismiss their cases.
