Lowenstein Atty Gets NJ Gov.'s Nod For State AG

Law360, New York (June 16, 2016, 4:43 PM EDT) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has nominated Chris Porrino, the co-chair of Lowenstein Sandler LLP's litigation department and Christie's former chief counsel, as the state's next attorney general, the governor announced Thursday.

Porrino, who served as chief counsel from January 2014 through July 2015 and as director of the state Division of Law for two years preceding, is poised to become the state’s  first confirmed attorney general  since 2013. His nomination must first pass through the state Senate.
