L'Oreal Aims To Muscle Supplier Who Left For Kylie Jenner

Law360, Los Angeles (June 20, 2016, 11:25 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge Monday tentatively denied L'Oreal USA Inc.'s request to force former supplier Spatz Laboratories to continue manufacturing 20 of its cosmetic products, in a dispute where the beauty giant says Spatz suddenly broke contracts and launched a competing Kylie Jenner cosmetic line.

At oral arguments, U.S. District Judge Andre Birotte Jr. said he wasn't quite ready to affirm his tentative ruling denying L'Oreal's motion for preliminary injunction, calling saying he "struggled" with his decision and calling it an "interesting case."
