MD Sues To Speed Up Army's Fort Meade Cleanup

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The state of Maryland has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of the Army in an effort to force the immediate cleanup of groundwater and soil contamination at Fort George G. Meade.

The suit, brought Dec. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, alleges that the Army failed to comply with an enforcement order issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
